One of the trends we will be talking about is a trend that can seem a little bit over the top and derives from shows like Alexander McQueen, a show that the critic
Tim Blanks said to have "its focus on the humble piety of Low Church Anglicans". Another show I find especially interesting is Dolce & Gabbana's, which was inspired by famous golden Byzantine mosaics from the Cathedral of Monreale on Sicily, according to
Nicole Phelps. One show that has pieces that takes another path but still makes a fairytale statement is Oscar de la Renta who both had dresses worthy of a princess and capes that makes one think of the little red riding hood. Dramatic and fabulous!
